Default New here...Should I buy this '95?

Hey guys/gals,

My brother's fiance has a '95 Z34 for sale. It's got 140,000 miles on it, but it is in pretty decent shape. It's white with a black interior, (leather) and that's in good shape too. She wants $1000 for it. Now, onto the bad...

She claims the motor 'stalls' every now and then and she'd have to restart it. Sometimes it wouldn't do this months...other times it would do it a few times a week. (??) The car needs tires badly and brakes. But other than that, it seems to be pretty solid.

Is this a decent buy or no?? I'm leaning more towards no.

Hi Jon & Welcome to the MCF
Any car for $1K that runs is a great buy, plus the bonus,
it's a Monte Carlo.
If you know a mechanic, I would have him/her check it out,
but $1,000 sound like a super deal.
Search out the forum, & use the MCF Search Engine to
learn more about the Monte's.
Wish you good luck...Post some pictures.
Let us know what you decide.
`Peace Out, `Space

I have a 95 Monte
She has 126,000 on her
This car has had no problems at all.
Other then reg. maintenance repairs.
$1,000.00 is not bad even if you have to put brakes and tires on it

hey, welcome to the site, for 1000 bucks seems like a good buy to me

you can do brakes on that thing for less than 200 bucks for everything (and thats good quality)
as for the stalling, is the check engine light on on it??

sounds good to me though

To me the mileage is kind of high but if the car was taken care of it should last for a while longer.
