i have build my 1988 chevy truck from the ground up out of a junkyard ive got all the tools and plenty of friends to help me lol never taken a automotives class but my dad and my grandfather have tought me everything i know as for the motor i found a 305 i could put in it for now to get it on the road but i may buy a 350 im not sure yet and thankyou for the welcome

well maybe we will have to meet up then the car is far from perfect though needs alot needs some rust work but the floors are solid and the frame is solid so its deff going to be a project i would like to either paint it white or a metalic grey or storm grey metalic

Welcome! Looks like a great project. You can pick up mild 350 4-bolt mains on CL pretty cheap. A LOT more support for a 350 out there than a 305.

Of course as you can see:

If you check out my garage....Im kinda partial to black..lol...

I would paint it black with the silver raceing stripes downthe length of it...
and then paint the lower trim(ground effects) the same silver as the stripes...

But hey thats just me...A real eye catcher for sure!

Especially on that year and body Style!
along with a Billet grille....

Since its a 1986:

The saying goes: You will "86" em all!

Its a slang for "Killn" them off 1 by 1.
