There is only 1 upper motor mount for the 3.4 dohc. The only reason people say two is because the 3100, 3400 and 3800 motors have two upper mounts. BTW, why do you need to rock the motor? If you are trying to rock the motor to get to the back spark plugs, then you are wasting your time because the Upper intake manifold is in the way of the plugs and has to come off anyway. Once that is off, you can get to the plugs without rocking the motor.

thanks I got the car for 350$ and dont no if its worth putting the $ into kinda ruff. I did the valve cover gasket on the side I could get to when I did the plugs one didnt look like it fired for some time. 2 of the 3 holes had alot of oil in em

well i got the 3400 and i did it just fine without rocking the motor, it just took me a while because one of teh elements came out of the wire boot and i just couldnt figure out why the socket wasnt unscrewing the plug. but like everyone here will tell you TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO ONE AT A TIME.

Doing plugs on a 3400 is about 1000 times easier than doing them on a 3.4 dohc. Its a totally different process and cant even be used to compare.

The oil around the spark plugs is the small o ring gaskets leaking around the spark plug holes. New O rings come with new valve cover gaskets. If you do end up removing the plenum (UIM) to do the rear plugs then I recommend doing the back valve cover gasket while you have access to it. Its an easy job once the plenum is off.

I dont know what that plug is off hand but I can run out and check on mine.

That plug is nothing. Mine isnt plugged into anything.

How many miles are on your car. After so many miles, things start to wear on these motors. Even if it was well taken care of leaks are expected with high miles.
