Default New brakes and rotors

Looking to do a complete brake & rotor job

one day I plan to upgrade the rims, so I'm thinking of upgrading the brakes right now since I really need some.

Anyone have some good reviews on some brakes?

Powerslots and Hawk HPS pads. You can get a complete set on the net for under 5 bills, if you look.

Not really looking to buy these online, I'd rather buy them from a napa or some place I can easily go back to if need be.

Yeah, Powerslot and Hawk pads is a GREAT combo. I've also had good luck with Powerslot rotors and EBC Green Stuff pads.....

I know your not looking to buy online, but you can get D/S and pads all around for just over $200 bucks on Ebay...The rotors are made by powerslot, and the pads are powerstop ceramic. I bought them, have yet to install, but everything looks really nice/ good quality. Another member bought this set and installed it on his SS, and was happy with the results. Just to throw that out there as a pretty cost friendly option.

If you want a good zinc plated rotor, slotted + hawk pads, you can go to r1concepts.com and get all 4 rotors + pads for $323.93

I think you MIGHT be able to buy from r1concepts on Ebay to...I remember seeing them when I was looking at brakes and rotors. If I remember correctly you might be able to save a few bucks if you buy from one of r1concepts Ebay ads....I know I saw his ad and brakes plus rotors...I am almost positive it was for the exact same thing Chibi said you could buy on the website, but i THINK it was cheaper...Doesnt hurt to look though if you are interested.

I'll have to check at some stores by me, see what they have available.

It's just if I have problems I'd like to be able to return something to a store, instead of dealing with all the shipping crap.

Just make sure you try to find a good zinc plated rotor (to prevent rusting) and a ceramic pad

That's what we are telling you to get, we are just using brand names in doing so :P

yep...don't get semi-metallic pads. Get ceramic.
