New addition to my Die-cast collection
Same here. Got mine off ebay a few years ago. Then found it locally for half the price.
The dale jr one kinda looks like a modded pace car model in a way. The spoiler on the trunk has the pace car lights in it, but painted over. The interior is two tone black and grey. Or maybe they just used some of the same parts.
I stumbled onto mine on ebay. It was made by Action Diecast. They only made 5,000 or so of them.
Here is a link to an old auction for one. You can see some interior shots also. It looks just like your car!

With mine, I never did find a 2002 SS... What I did was purchase a 2000 SS w/ sunroof & a 2003 SS and changed out the chasis in order to get my 2002 rims to match on the 2000 SS and I also took the 2003 (Yellow Spoiler) and trans-planted it onto where the 2000 Surf Board spoiler was and created a replica of my car... Also, I changed out the engine cover from the 2000 (which was black) to the 2003 (which was grey like my 2002)... All together I purchased 2 Sun Star Diecast models (1/18 scale) in order to create 1 true 2002 White SS "Limited Edition"... Does life immitate art, or does art immitate life, who knows, but it did work out so far... Now I'm looking for scoops that I can adapt to it and thus have a truer representation of my Monte... As always it's a process just like the real thing when the modding bug bites...
