Exclamation need info about my monte carlo

hey i just got a 1979 monte carlo 2 door with a 4.4 v8 2bbl, automatic, factory installed a/c, camel matalic paint, camel interior, and a bench seat a couple months ago. I found a gold or a copper plack and it says Leeds plant, one out of five hundred, 50th anniversary, 1929-1979. Everything is original except the back glass and the usual mantinance stuff like tires, etc. but i'm wondering if it is worth keeping it oringal or what ever. tell me what you people think I should do.

Do you ever watch auto auctions? All original is where the money is at, same goes for car shows. I'd keep it all original, no question about it.

theyre pretty good with body panels. i dont know if your looking for a lid or the trunk floor but some 3rd gens came with aluminum trunk lids and it would be a good upgrade if you could find one.

i dont know how rare the color is but if it says 1-500 its probably rare. a buddy of mine had a 78 that was a funky goldish color like that on the exterior and had factory buckets in leather with a similar color on the interior. if i were you and had the money to do it. i would pull the drivetrain if its date coded and put it aside and put a real motor tranny and rear in the car. if you ever go to sell it you have all the original stuff for it.
