Need Help or Ideas
My father just purchase a 2004 MCSS. It is not supercharged. Couldnt pass up the price. However, what things if any can someone warn us about or suggest as a must get for this car. I also have an 1985 that needs paint and some work. Has 96000 miles on it. What is a good selling price. It has the HO motor and the interior is excellent and no body rust just a few mechanical issues and needs new paint. If I can get a good $$ out of it my dad is giving me his mint 1986 MCSS...
As far as warnings go,
The trans is the weakest link of the drive train and is only rated for about 200 ft lbs of torqe as I am told, so beware of the mods you put into it and especially your foot after those mods.. lol
As far as mods go, what kind of $$$$ are you looking at spending?
What color is your new Monte??

Dont know how much cash as of yet. Just wanting to make it stick out I guess. I liked the link someone posted on the gauges and a few other items I come across. The Monte Is Yellow with the charcole interior. My father wanted an ss that was supercharged but he got a good deal, we think. Everyone we seem to talk to thinks it was. '04 SS with sunroof and lots of goodies and only 14,000 miles on it for less than 17,500.
if you have the cash to do it you can build the tranny to be stronger but it is the weekest link.
past that to stand out just let your imagination run wild
you cna find all kinds of ideas forit some are not alway for the monte carlos but can me adapted to them rather easy
Good luck
