Default My Monte Injured! Again!

What kind of invisible damage might occur from a being rear-ended? Some jack-*** slammed into 4 cars and pushed the car in back of me into my rear bumper. It just looks like some small dents & scrapes, but I'm noticing some odd vibration coming from beneath the floor. Any insight ya'll have would be so much appreciated B4 I head in to the body shop.[sm=smiley28.gif]

If you weren't hit that hard then I don't know how likely frame damage would be. Vibration might be something that's came loose, or your alignment could have gotten knocked out of place.

Let us know how it turns out, I'm always afraid of some jackass seeing my tinted tails and running into me just so they can say it's my fault.

Sorry to hear it.

I'd tell my ins. about the vibration and that I feel it may be the alignment. Maybe they'll spring for a 4-wheel alignment on the car. Worth a try anyways.

Hope it turns out for you.

i was hit from behind in my 01 monte, it looked like a cracked bumper cover, but upon further investigation i had the left side rail bent, just enough to cause vibration and handling issues. The body shop bill was just over 4500$.

$4500 OUCH!

Krystalmethod,

What ever the bodyshop tells you, go to 2 or 3 different shops. Don't tell them what the other shops tell you. They'll want to pad the bill, especially if the insurance is involved.

Hopefully it's not something serious. Please let us know what you find.

[:-] Yeah, that could end up being an ugly bill. Good luck with it. Did you get the at-fault's insurance info at least?

Holy-cr@p $4500?? Yeah, the at-fault insurance is handling it, adjuster says it may be possible to correct w/heat? Sounds bogus to me. I am so worried about parts not aligning and paint not matching. Thanks everybody for your advise.
