Default My Check Engine Light Is: ☆☆OFF☆☆

PO300
PO403
PO405
PO446 ✴︎ ⬅︎ ⬅︎ ⬅︎

All these Codes were triggered by a faulty FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR!

Wait for the Low Fuel Warning before attempting to DIY.
Start engine.
Pull FUEL PUMP Relay ... Let Engine stall to relieve pressure in system.
Remove GROUND Wire from Battery.
With car Raised and SAFETY STANDS securely in place.

Support Tank with Jack.

(I made a "Jig" to attach to the Jack. Sawed the square bottom off from Milk Crate. Drilled holes through Hockey Puck. Mounted Puck to center of Milk Crate with Heavy Duty Zip Ties. Affixed carpet to other side of Milk Crate bottom for padding.)

Lower tank enough to access Sensor atop Fuel Pump.
Unfasten Pigtail from Sensor.
Unclip and Remove Sensor ••• Straight-up.
DO NOT BREAK THE END OF SENSOR OFF INSIDE PUMP!!!

If you need a Charcoal Canister do it when you replace this Sensor.

Removing Fuel Pump Relay to Relieve Fuel System Pressure throws a Code which may require a MIL Light reset.

Don't you have an access hatch in your trunk for the fuel pump?

That would prevent the need to drop the tank.

I need to replace my EVAP canister this weekend which I'll need to drop the tank for.
Any tips on disconnecting the lines or any other tips for that matter. Haven't been under there yet, but from my readings it doesn't sound like much fun. Can't find much on You Tube or anywhere else online. I guess lines don't need to be disconnected at the fuel pump if you were able to drop it to get to the pressure sensor.

The lines to the Charcoal Canister have CLIP that need to be squeezed and pulled-off to lower tank.

Canister mounted to tank w/ Heavy-duty plastic tie available at Hdwe stores.

The '04 has no access fm above, ... but making one ran across my mind.

The rear-end Vent Valve is mounted in the rear-quarter panel below the Fuel Filler Neck.

OEM Type Vent Valves have been Superseded w/ redesigned Assy requiring "Jumper-Pigtail" needed for replacement.

Lower Vent Valve mounting bracket to remove old unit fm bracket.
10mm Hex-head bolt mounts bracket to spot where bracket bolts to inside of rear quarter.

Thanks Rick.

Already replaced the EVAP vent valve last weekend. Picked up the car as a fixer with P0446, gas pump nozzle continuously shutting off when filling the tank. I actually have two '00 SS's so I have the benefit of comparison. I removed the vent valve hose from both cars and disconnected the lines to the normally closed EVAP purge valve and blew throgh the vent hose at the vent valve while checking air flow at the purge valve inlet line. Air blows through in the good car, but not the bad confirming a clogged canister or vent hose.
Don't you need to disconnect lines at the tank and remove the driver side rear inner fender to get to the the EVAP canister and disconnect lines before dropping the tank?
Doesn't the sheat metal shrounfd around the passenger side of the tank have to come off?

Once the Two Hanger Straps are Unfasten and Removed, ... there is enough side-to-side movement of the Fuel Tank to avoid the Heat Shield.
