My 2006 Monte is JUNK
I have a 2006 Monte LT with a 3.5. I have had nothing but issues. I change my oil every 2500 and I baby it. So at 12,000 the rear main seal is leaking the dealer replaced it ok. So the trans was banging at 18,000mi so I bring it in AGAIN so the dealer replaced a couple drums inside the trans and they said the oil pan is leaking AGAIN. So I pick up the car and it still has issues steering wheel not straight and the trans still doesnt feel right but i need the car. So I'm driving it and every time I put in gear there is a bang like loose mount. So I leave work the other day and it slips int 2 then barely goes to 3rd and no 4 or passing gear.

im sorry to hear of this. but man am i glad i didnt like the styling of the 06 enough to trade in mine i have heard stuff like this from alot of folks, like they knew it would be the last stye so they gave up on it.

Sorry to hear this.
Do a web search for the lemon laws of your state.
Most of the lemon laws state IF the dealer has the car more then you do, it's a lemon.
Or if you take the car back time after time after time getting the same problem repaired, it's a lemon.

wow! yah i'd be seeing about changing it for another car, shouldn't be your fault the car has so many problems, must have been built late on a friday afternoon or early on a monday morning

Hi Mike, sorry to read about all your problems with your
06 Monte Carlo LT 3.5 L [X(]
Did you buy it new ?
Was it a rental car before you got it ?
I noticed that you are from NY,NY
Was in driven in bumper to bumper traffic all the time ?
If your dealer can not correct the problems, then I would suggest
like other members have, & that is to look into New York
States Lemon Laws to determine if your Monte fits their
definitions. I know that you have to have a lot of documentation,
(Dates/receipts/expenses/all paperwork on the car).
