I didn't like having the 03 at the end. I figured some people might think you're putting a Dale Earnhardt reference in there for some reason. Putting it at the beginning makes it a bit more obvious you're referring to the year.
I also tried thinking of something that included a 24 instead of the year. But nothing really looked quite "right" about it. I also considered putting the build number on your plate. But that would look even more confusing. It would look like just some random number that nobody knows the significance of.
You could always have the build number put on a license plate frame. I've seen a couple people do that. "# 1203 of 2424" That type of thing.
