I don't get that either 03 SS. Every time I see a Monte and look at the owner it's like they're an older person and couldn't give a crud less about another MC owner waving.

You'd think being a sporty coupe would make it somewhat of a younger generations ride, but I guess that's not the case. The roomy trunk and large back seat make it an excellent choice for families that can't get past the styling of sedans, but still, you think they'd be younger families! lol!

I think it ends up that the people that have the budget to even look at the Monte are older, and are just set on getting a coupe, or something that they like the looks of, then they just happened to drive the Montes, and fell in love with them, like the rest of us! I've never had a bad comment on my Monte, everyone that's ridden in it has loved the ride, the power of the engine, and most of them appreciate the back massagers.... er I mean the subwoofers... lmao. Which actually reminds me that I have had a complaint or two, but they were complaining about my loud stereo, but what can I say, I take that as a compliment! Lmao!

Peace out!

the biggest reason you see older people driving these cars is because the average person under 20 can't afford a brand new monte carlo, now that they're 5-6 years old in the same body style as mine i think you will start to see more younger people driving them buying them used....when i was looking 5 years ago i really wanted one but couldn't afford the car or the INSURANCE(thats the big thing on these cars, its just so high if your under 20)

but i think you will start to see a lot younger people getting them soon

Then they'll come here because with the miles there'll be problems and no warranty...

SO maybe like 1 out of 10 that ask about a problem will actually stay and participate, lmao!

We should lock the ability to post new threads for the first 5 posts, that would eliminate alot of it

ORIGINAL: TrapShooter8

I would Love to find a group of Monte Carlo owners around the St.Louis,MO area for a monthly or bi monthly get together. But seems that there are lots of Montes driving around the area, but none that really get into thier Montes like we do.

Sad.

Mike.
youre right theres a ton of us MC owners here in st louis... which side of the lou are you from?

and yall are right about the younger people not being able to afford em...

the insurance gets rough, the cheapest i could find for my 04 SS is $307/month
