i think more buyers prefer the gxp/gtp over the monte to be honest. if chevy had put supercharged motor in the monte back in 2000 i think that would of been a different story.

ZR1 no doubt, i mean after all they both got 2 doors, makes them practically the same car...

though damn, a ZR1/camaro hybrid is apparently going to be available, who knew...

Silver,
I agree that more people went toward the GXP/GTP and even Impala's because they are 4-door cars, and they historically sell better. I'm simply saying that I don't think they are competition to the Monte Carlo at all. Why would GM make a car that would compete against another one of it's cars? That doesn't make sense.

PhoenixDude,
I have nothing to say to you... Perhaps, try again!

chibi,
I think if the Monte was still around it would be more competitive to the Challenger than the Charger.
The Sentra? Really?! lol
What Lincoln's compare to the Monte Carlo?
I can see the Sebring/Stratus coupes being competitive, and also the Solara (although it looks terrible).

For those curious:
2004 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe (my old car!)

Chrysler Sebring Coupe

Toyota Solara

yes, the nissan sentra SE-R. It's a 200-hp cheapy with a decent interior.

It seems like it would be more competitive to the Impala and Grand Prix. No?
Same with the Altima SE-R, which is much nicer.

Yes, definitely. However, they're a bit more expensive than our cars.
