Then is that the engine you want to mod?

If so for a cool $1000 (or so) you can get your 3.4 pulley with supporting mods and then you can use the other $1000 on dress-up.

Use the $2000 to get the S/C 3.8 in your '96... Use anything leftover for supporting mods.

for 2k you could definitely do the L67 (SC 3.8) swap out!

do the swap first, then spend the rest of the cash on mods!
if you have access to firearms, i suggest to use the 3.1 for target practice ;-)

ohhh, dont let my monte see that, it might have a hissy fit, lol.

i would do the 3.8 swap, especially if you have one redially avalible.... do you have the stock 3.8 trans & computer, any other lil stuff you might need? i would imagine it would be much easyer if you could get your monte on a lift & drop the 3.1 & stock tranny out, & drop the car down on the new engine & trans.... plug & play, really

oh, if i were you i would set everything off to the side for a while, instead of using it for targets.... ya never know if the whole swap might backfire on ya, & its good to have a backup plan
