- A `Space Suggestion -[:-]`Craig, I would change `it : ) The oil has been in there sinceit was produced. I know that you posted that your Monte saton the lot for a long period, and they most likely juststarted it @ idle to charge the battery. I think oil is still one of the cheapest investments a ownercan make. Give your young/virgin Monte something goodto protect that awesome 5.3L V-8 The above infor, just fell outa `Space : )Now, Space is Empty : )Peace/Out

Mine is middle aged. I've only put a little over 1K on him, but he just turned 109K. But he still feels like a spring chicken LOL.

My 03 SS has about 52K on him. I don't put too many miles on him, but if I was back home I would be crusing much more.

I'm about to change the oil and it will be done with a K&N oil filter and 4.75 - quarts of Mobil One and 1-pint of Slick 50. I will also have the tires rotated every 3,500-miles just like the old poly tires. My uncle worked for Uniroyal tires and told me that is how he rotated his radials and they lasted him 100,000-miles. You just can't wait until a wear pattern is set in the tire, that is why every 3,500 miles vs the 7,000 they tell you is ok.

Mt LTZ turned 13,100 yesterday on the way home from the graphix shop that installed the stripes.

I was there to left them look over the stripes on the trunk. One seems to run uphill to me and they agreed. They said they'd replace it, but.............. I had to purchase the replacement stripe. And so far it seems no one but me is putting out any cash? I think to be fair they can come to my house to install the replacement stripe so I can keep miles off my car (30 miles there and back) and NOT use my gasoline.
