sorry to hear of your loss. last november my Sebring convertable was taken in a electrical fire and they payed full blue book, taxes , any and all upgrades (wheels, stereo the convetable boot , front bra) did not ask for reciepts, just make sure the insurance rep takes plenty of photos showing any and all upgrades you added that won't be represented by the vin number all the way down to replacing the city permit, school parking ect. I have State Farm full coverage and they are most excellant in my opinion... take pic's plenty of pics good luck

Sorry to hear that.
Some insurance companies will pay for upgrades, others will only pay the blue book. Good luck.

hey guys. i wanted give the mc community an update on the whole situation. insurance is gonna give me about 9 grand but i get half of that due to my deductible and remaining car payments. they said they wouldnt reimberse me for the stuff i did to the car though saying that it didnt raise the value of the car. gonna start saving for an 06/07 ss. i love these cars. very very reliable.

MY insurance company gave me money for the upgrades that I did for my 98 that got totaled with me in the car (rear end). Guess they didnt want me suing them or something. Try checking with your homeowners or something?? You'd think it would cover things in the vehicle, what about your comp. coverage? My insurance company says anything you do to a vehicle that makes it nicer ALWAYS adds to the value.
