Hey gang,

Thought I would let you know that about 9pm last night in rare light LA traffic I decided to go WOT.

I passed 100 waiting for the limiter....NOTHING!

I passed 115 waiting for the limiter.....NOTHING!

Somewhere between 116-117 I approached traffic so I had to back off.

Speedomoter error??

I dunno?

I'll try another night to see where the limiter is.

 

wahhhhooooo!!! so fast i think i've had mine up there once...lol...very fun

 

Limiter is set for 118mph solara.

 

Damn! Just missed.

So what is up with all the 107 reports?

 

Don't know....who reported that? Not me...I've had mine to the limiter only once. 118mph

 

I don't subscribe to threads, maybe Space or someone can help, but there are definiely serveral threads where members said that their 06's topped out at 107.

Must be the 3.5's. or SS's.

 

Maybe, I know my 3.9 didn't top there.

I do remember reading a road test on a 2006 Impala SS and it hit a top speed of 154 MPH.It said "drag limited",which I would guess is wind resistance.It was inCar and Driver or something like that.
