Exclamation Low sound to no sound! HELP PLEASE!

Alright I bought a 2006 Monte Carlo Lt and has battery issues so I sent it back to the dealer and they replaced the battery but now my speakers are extremely quiet turned all the way up so I visited my local audio shop and they said that a new radio should fix the issue because it's a blown amp in the radio. Took the radio out and there was no amp fuse so I ordered a wire set to convert it and after reading on here about the red wire I finally got the radio on but bow no sound at all??? So I took my door panel off and wired it straight to the speakers and bam! Sound! But I'm not about to do this to all the speakers is there a fuse or something that I can do to get some output on my radio. Yes this is very odd no one has seen this that I've tlked to and you guys here seem helpful so I'm giving this one last shot.

If the '05 is like my '03 then the amp is external - not an integral part of the head unit. In my '03 it is located on the underside of the package tray behind the back seat. When the amp goes bad it needs to be bypassed. There is an adapter harness available to do this, or if you can read a schematic you could fabricate a harness. Once the amp is bypassed you should get sound.
