Exclamation Look at this Earnhardt for sale!

I found this will a couple of days ago.

http://tinyurl.com/earnhardtmontecarlo

My only question is ... is this a clone and not a real earnhardt?
I only ask this because i thought the limited editions were/are supercharged? This one isn't, i know mine IS!
Was the 02 not supercharged?
Anyways, this is one cool Monte!

2004 was when they are supercharged. intimidator ss and jr are supercharged and the rest of the ss are optional

Default ..Earnhardt car.......

......This could be a car that was once a "give away" from a old
contest ? Dealers across the country will occasionally do this with
collaboration from the various NASCAR teams. I live in Arkansas.
When Mark Martin was driving for Roushe Racing and being sponsored by Valvoline ; a Ford dealer in Batesville or Searcy AR
gave away a T-Bird painted and decaled like his race car. I have seen it a few times since then. They're really only good for parades, car shows and however else the owner decides to use it.
Daily driver ? If someone wants to feel like Dale Earnhardt and get
interesting looks all day.....well then more power to them.

I dont believe that car was lettered at RCR's shop. The shape of the 3 on the door isnt even close to the patented shape of the 3 on the real race car. Maybe some other Earnhardt fans are here will back me up on my opinion.

There actually was a Dale Earnhardt edition in 2002 (and it was not supercharged because they didn't do that until 04) it just looks like they put the Goodwrench decals on it to make it look like Dales race car - Kinda like like what Brent did with his Jr edition.

From what I can tell, it is a 2002 Monte Carlo SS Intimidator, complete with the COA (shown in the trunk). Here is a link to Hot Rod magazine that describes the car: http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicl..._ss/index.html
I believe the graphics to be aftermarket, and NOT RCR, unless they have documentation to prove what they are saying, and they show no documentation. None. Documentation talks, B.S. walks.
BUT! Here's a difference that I see, chrome wheels vs. painted wheels that came standard on the '02 M.C. SS, INCLUDING the D.E. signature "Intimidator" edition. Along with the chrome wheels are yellow lettered Goodyear tires. Are they knock off's? YES! Where's the NASCAR logo???

The tires on the bottom are for sale right now in FL, but they won't fir our cars. 205-55-16's, a pair.
You can CLEARLY see the tires are painted yellow, and do NOT have the NASCAR logo molded into the tire. They're not even white lettered NASCAR tires painted yellow, and I believe the wheels to be 17", and the yellow tires did NOT come in 17", but only 15 and 16" sizes.
A couple of other things, correct there was no supercharged "Intimidators" in '02. But as you can see in the ad AND the Hot Rod link, the '02 "Intimidator" is a Monte Carlo SS "Intimidator", where the '04 is a Monte Carlo Intimidator SS. Here is an official GM pic of the '02:

Now the '04:

As you can see, the '04 is badged both on the sides AND the back as an "Intimidator SS", where the '02 is not. Most people don't think that my car is an Intimidator SS because I painted my badges black, but it IS, and my "SS" emblem is on the right side of the rear, where it should be on an '04 Monte Carlo Intimidator SS. No other 6th gen SS has the "SS" on the right side.
Trivia.

Yeah... Well I couldn't use it for a daily driver here in the K.C. area
-unless it got "Keyed" all the time! I took the number "3" off the side glass
of my Black '98 'cause some "Ford" people still don't like Earnhardt even though he is gone!

Any body shop can get it, or your local GM dealer. About $1,700 if I remember right
