limited edition

I think those early limited edition contained the high sport package.
Front, rear, & side rockers. I am not sure what else though, it can't be a Dale, because the Dale was release in 02 and then in 04.
Yours probably had most if not all available options standard. Leather, heated seat, sunroof (i am just guessing) Someone more knowledgeable on the subject can help ya out.

It looks like it hard to tail there is a bra on the front end that i am afraid to remove because of the possibillity of whats underneath it. I was thinking that it might have some specail engine mods that would make it limited edition

Trying to remember now.
Typically the Montes that got the "Limited Edition" guage cluster were the Pace Car Editions, Monte's ordered with the Winner's Circle package (non-pace car edition car with the checker flags), and Monte's that were ordered with the High Sport package (includes the items already mentioned by Jomao_o).
The rockers mentioned are the rocker mouldings. They're the extra plastic body mouldings attached to the lowest part of the car. If you look at the pictures of my car, it's the black pieces all the way around the bottom edge of the car. On your car they may be a different color. They may be the same color as the car, black, silver, or some other complimentary color.
There were no special engine mods done by the factory. The only engine choices were the 3400 engine, 3800 series II.

Well from 00 to 03 the engines were the same.
In 04 some were introduced with the supercharger.
Now it depends on what the previous owner did, this is what your stock engine should look like :
If not, then the last owner modded the engine.
Post pics of the engine bay if you can.
*edit*
Thanks Taz, i completely neglected to remember the Pace Cars lol

I changed your account so you'll be able to post pictures without having to wait the normal waiting period. If you have any problems posting pictures, let us know. Sometimes the forum software needs a little kickstart for changes to work.
