loud ticking from idle to full wot...wondering wat is it?im thinking a lifter ?what should i do?

 

ticking by intake sounds like lifters

 

as far as what can you do?
replace the lifters. with new ones. also if you do it i would check in to a larger set of lifters and a better cam. this will allow it to breath even better then it dose now.

 

are you sure its not just a rocker ?

 

not sure what it is it jsut started after my first oil change on the rebuild.and i put synthetic in it instead of the regular kind..now i have to take it back to the shop to fix this..well how could of this happen..i should just up grade since it will be open

 

if you have it open anyway i would upgrade.
if they just rebuilt it it could be a liffter didnt pump up right also.

 

yeah its probley a lifter that did not pump up

 

how this happen

 

most of the time this happens is they were supposed to be soaked a certain amount of time in Oil and they didn't get enough time

OR
some are just bad from the factory. nothing you Can do about them

OR \
something plugged the holes in them and it is causing it to not get enough oil

there are a lot of reasons but for the most part those are the ones i have seen the most.
