Default LED Christmas Lights re-purposed for interior???

Hey all, I thought I heard somewhere that if you get some clearance priced LED xmas light sets after Christmas, you can use them to add/hook up/install to various parts of your car interior? Is this correct? Any suggestions? Thanks!

That's not what I am talking about, meaning you can take LED lights from Christmas light sets and take them apart to use as LEDs in the car. NOT hanging up xmas lights as decoration, lol. I know I read it in one of the interior LED threads here in a post but can't find it, someone said you could pick up the xmas ones after xmas when they are marked down cheap and re-use the LEDs.

I wouldn't even waste the time. For as cheap as you can get 50 or a 100 count of leds on ebay. I would recommend going the ebay route, you'll be happier that route.

Yeah of course you would need to use resistors w/led's. Did you or did you have BBEngineering do your cluster?
