Decided to go to a car show this morning in Urbandale, IA. It was the 1st Annual Kris Mandt Memorial Car Show. Mandt was a car enthusiast but he never had enough money to own a sports car of his own, so he got as close to the race track as possible by becoming a member of the Sports Club Car of America. The car show was his idea back in August but he unexpectedly passed after making his suggestion. Permission was granted for the show to carry his name.

The show was free but all proceeds went to the Urbandale Food Pantry so I had no problem donating my fair share!

I honestly just had time to snap a few pics of my Monte and my phone died. Really wished I could have gotten some pics of the other cars there. A lot of nice rides for sure. There was a 6th gen White/Silver Monte that was badged as a Dale Earnhardt Monte, and the Earnhardt dealership plates I didn't get extremely close to it so I'm not for sure lol? Looked like it had seen better days though There were also a fair share of new Camaros (totally stock) and a lot of Mustangs (new and old)!

Anyways, here's a few pics of my Monte. Ended up taking home a "Top 20" Plaque/(dust collector)! First time ever winning something at a car show for me!



^^Just noticed you can see my dad sitting in my Monte in this one haha! He claimed the shade with hot leather was better than the extreme sun and heat




Being this was only the 1st Annual show, they only gave out a "Top 20" award, and a peoples choice. Next year they plan to have a larger show with various classes. I look forward to attending more as the summer goes on Hopefully I'll have my Polished M90 bolted up for the next show (Car Craft )

Thanks and yes I'm proud. I'm always happy to receive comments about it. Great to show it once in a while and show it off to people who actually appreciate the work it takes for some things such as headers on a FWD haha! That one really gets a lot of people because they can only imagine how much fun it is
