I agree with GPD.Leave the LTZ designation there. It is a rare one year model, and deserves to be displayed.Taking them off would be like removing the 426 HEMI badges from an olderHemi Charger, allowing it to be mistaken for a base model with a 318 engine.

That is where the mix feelings come in, but what look do you like best
Well it is not like the newer (06-07) Montes are 'overbadged' tobeing with.

In fact, if you ask me, I say they are 'underbadged."

It is the only Monte Carlo moniker on the whole car. I like it.

I do kind of like the clean look better, but you guys do make a great point with it being rare, and the whole hemi thing. Guess I might have to just flip a coin to pick which one I want to do, lol

I think the clean look is 2 plain for my taste. I kind of like the chrome look of them, and with the bowtie painted darkblue with the chrome outline on a white car should look pretty hot

I've been considering the same thing here.

Since per the Auto Trim Designs installation instructions you need to remove the rear bow tie to install the rally stripes which I did.

I've been thinking here:
Remove the stock bow tie and install a black bow tie decal on the spoiler.
Remove the "Monte Carlo LTZ" letters and buy a 3rd brake light cover with "LTZ" cut into it. So when I press on the brake "LTZ" lights up on my car.
By removing the letters off the left side of the trunk lid it will even out the lid with the right side.

I've got a cheesey MSPaint photo I did this work to, to give me an idea of what it'll look like.

I'd keep the badges and just paint the bowtie to match what you're doing to the front bowtie.

I guess the gold bow tie tells people that your car is 2006 or newer.

Other than that, who cares what people think.

I am keeping mine on. As stated before its the only year that the LTZ was made. If you take it off they might think its an LT3 (not knocking you guys by the way)
THE LTZ IS IN ITS ON CLASS.... SHOW IT OFF.....
