This is a game I put together several years ago to test people's knowledge of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo...and posted on several different message boards, running a contest for which I gave prizes to the top point getters at the end. Some of you may've seen this ... others, not. The correct questions will be posted in the coming days. If enough people post answers (must be in the form of a question), I'll figure out some sort of prize to send the winner. And, uh, NO CHEATING. Simply answer with your BEST, NON-RESEARCHED answer
. Enjoy!

okay, lets see how i fare.....
1996-1999, 2006-2007, no monte carlo shield was on these 6 years
1977 had the shield in a circle, i believe
I think the ruman numberals in 1970-1971 indicated it was an SS, though not sure.
The 1996 Generation 5 montes brought the Monte's back from a 7 year hiatus\
The 2000-2005 was the longest running body style for hte monte, if you include the 06-07 "refreshed" 6th generation then it ran for 8 years.
The sixth generation headlights are shaped a bit like a Super Maxi protection pad (WHAT?!?!?!)
The second generation was on the Malibu platform, it went down from a full size car in the late 70's
taking a guess at the straight line thing, was it the 1996-1999?
1st, 4th, and 6th generations had SS modles (i think)
The 34 of the 5th generation 1996-1999 was the only Z model monte ever.
The 73-76 Monte Carlo's had the vinyl top, not sure of its model.
Was it the custom that replaced SS in the first generation, or did they evne have a SS in Generation I?
I know Bobby Allison drove number 22 for awhile, so I'll guess number 22
The Monte Carlo claims to be the "winningest car in NASCAR history"
Dale Earnhardt won the 1998 Daytona 500
Jeff Gordon Monte's had "ghost" flames going up the hood and halfway down the side of the door.
I don't think Generation 3 was in NASCAR
The El Camino shared the Monte SS front end in teh '80's
The Ford Thunderbird was originally intended to run with the Corvettes.
The Olds Alero is not longer in the MC family, if i'm thinking right
Was the Pontiac 2+2 a response to the Z34?
I beleive the highlight of hte bow tie was in red
The Yellow in the Generation 5 were popular with a ground effects kit, not sure if it was exclusive though.
The 2006 Monte featured a V8 for the first time sense 1988
I htink 1977 saw the first Vsux in a Monte Carlo.
The 455 was last available from the factory in 1976?
I'm guessing fuel injection was probably available in 1977
Monte gauges have always been round i think
Sun roofs and T-Tops have bene popular in Monte's...
The second generation ahd fender skirts, i think ( i'm really not sure any monte did, but i know the 73-76 had a weird looking rear quarterpanel...
The big blocks ended in 1974 (i guess i was wrong about the 454 being available in 1976, but i am answering htem to the best of my knowledge as i get to them)
The intimidator edition was the basis for hte 5th generation
I think 1996 on up saw day time running lights
i'm guessing hte month, but i'll say the last RWD monte rolled off hte line in... July of 1988...
1978 trunk lids were made of aluminum maybe?
Jim Carey drove a beat to death 1971 First Generation Monte Carlo in that movie
I think Denzle drove a 3rd generation monte
The 1973 Monte Carlo was Car & Drivers Car of the Year
How did I do, teacher?

A few notes for you Cowboy....
Nope.
1996?
Hmmm...forgot I needed to edit out some of the questions. As I wrote this a few years ago, the '06 wasn't even factored in, of course. Another generation ran just as long....
Nope. You missed an important element ... the car featured the characterstic bodylines on the fenders.....
Olds Alero????
Nope ... wrong generation.
The query was about the 454. And, you are one year off. I actually gave this answer in the thread about the generations....
Except for a few minor details here and there, you aren't really doing that badly
.
Nope.
It wasn't even in 1988
.
You are half correct.
*pauses*
I'm shocked nobody else posted any replies.....
