Default I've had it...

...with my power window that is Ever since i bought the car my drivers side window has been a real pain in the butt. But now its worse yet, it'll only go down about 1/8 inch on its own before i have to push it down and i have to pull/push it up as well. Being warm out i tend to use the windows alot with the a/c being my last resort. What am i looking at replacing here, motor, regulator or both?

Could be the switch too. The internals of the wear out and don't let enough power through. Its probably the motor tho. You coule try to clean up and re grease everything first and see if that helps.

i should have looked at it some when i had the door panel off for my speaker, but i never thought about it. My mechanic gave me a quote one day after he tried to use it, and its like $300+ for him to replace the motor/regulator, i dont think so lol. I'd rather have a screwed up window or do it myself.

My passenger side has been going for a while now, it's quite weak. Idk though because the driver's side switch is the sketchy one, passenger switch works without fail.

Do it yourself its easy just take off the door panel & a few bolts & its out, tape ur window up & itll be fine, motors & regulators are all one part on most car

I'm starting to have this problem too, but not as bad. It gets stuck sometimes on the way up. I've never had to help it go up. Usually I can lower it a bit and then get it back on track.

Is it getting stuck in the track or is it just not powerful enough to pull the window up and down?

My guess would be the motor is burning out.
