"Our sources have heard rumors lately of a near future Monte Carlo based on the Camaro's platform. Engines are ranging from an ecotec 2.0l to the larger v8 found in the Camaro SS. We still are hoping for it to be a rear wheel drive, but in this economy, we're sure its just going to be another front wheel drive vehicle. A scheduled release date is close to 2013 but it is only speculation for now. " April fools lol.

yep i read it. i'm still holding out hope that they'll bring the monte back someday though!!

 

I dont like it at all. The guy that made that used a dodge magnum as the starting photo. I can never like it knowing that, even if it did look good.

 

I'm kinda hoping GM scraps Pontiac and turn the G-8 into the new Impala and possible new Monte on that same platform. RWD & V-8 Baby!

By the way, I dont mean to be a ***** or anything, but thats the ugliest rendering/proposal Ive ever seen. I agree wit the guy mrl 390, who pointed out that it was photoshopped from a magnum, I hate magnums. But really no true offense to the artist. Lets just say, we had our beloved Rear wheel drive Monte stripped away once, dont need magnums to inspire our future, hell, start with a CTS or STS or sumthing.
