interesting
I see that my year 1986 Monte Carlo LS has 3100 pounds of wieght with 140 horsepower. My brother says that the 1400 pounds he has over me in his 1991 K5 Blazer would beat me. It also has a V8 and 210 horsepower with a 4 speed tranny. Now would the weight difference make it a pretty good match. We are talking about 3/4 of a ton here. He also thinks a Lincoln Continental would keep right up with me with 151 horsepower 4 speed tranny 3691 pounds.
I actually dont really know. I think I would have them both because for one its a blazer which sits much higher and is going to have a lot of draft. 2ndly hes got 3/4 of a ton of wieght over me. The Lincoln as well. Ive got himin the weight again. Let me know what you guys think. I know my cars slow as **** at the moment but I think my brother got tired of me wasting him for the last year in my 281K Grand Prix GTP I had with 240 horses lol

well first off, aerodynamics don't matter in a drag race. weight does, and thats where you have him. the ohter thing that makes the difference in a drag race is the obvious one: power. only one way to find out who has the best combination of the above....
Yeah I have him in the weight one thats for sure. lol on either car. Power wise hes got me by 70 with the blazer. and 10 on the other car. Id have him on the Ford im sure. The blazer who knows. Either way id like to see my brother make his truck faster then my Monte, lol thats where id be cheating in this category. oh wait no challenge lol
Ya do anything to your 3800 at all I have some knowledge of them because of the previous car I mentioned!

Let's see: 3100/140=22.14 to 1 K5 Blazer: 4507/210=21.46 to 1.. So He has you with horsepower to weight ratio. Condition of each vehicle (motor, trans, rearend, tires, etc.) are all factors that need to be considered, as well as the gear ratio and the craziness of the drivers and their driving abilities. But all being equal, I'm giving it to your buddy.
