As much as I enjoy TnA I have a girlfriend so I dont need more. What I really DO need is someone to please explain how this could be done? I am in no way a hands on person but if I have to make it I will or if someone wants to make it and I buy that is fine too. I have been wanting to replace the Monte Carlo emblem since I got the car and have found nothing so I NEED this more than vagina right now.

 

if you can get it out..i think all you would have to do is check and see if its smooth..i dont have one so i'm not sure...then paint it black..then have a decal shop make up and ss emblem and stick in on there..then put the emblem back into the bumper

 

What about lighting it up? It looks like it glows amber/red.

Yeah I think you are right after taking a better look at it. Now here is another problem! I want to make it glow red! I figure wire up a red LED bulb or two under the emblem. Use a thin white SS decal so when you turn the headlamps on, the red LED will shine through. That lighting wouldnt be so bad but I need to take a look at the emblem. I have a wholesale discount at the local Chevy dealership so I might just buy one to experiment with before I take mine off and screw it up.

 

Try toemail the owner of the vehicle on cardomain and see if he will tell you.... pass it on then.

On the SS emblem I know the 6th gen owners are doing this to their Montes. A girl I talk with on one of the other Monte web sites posted a few picts of the grille on her SS that she made and emblem for. Nice work.

But the bow tie that's now on the front of the grille is only on there with adhesive I believe.

 

i just finished doing mine
have to drive around for 24 hours without my emblem but it looks good
tomorrow i will stick it back on and take some photos

 

how did you make it??

 

well i toke the emblem off cleaned the old one out
then with photo paper made the back black with red SS and then coverd with hardner
its a liquid that takes 24 hours to dry
i did the same thing with my center caps
that hardner is like glass once its dry
