That's ridiculous, there's a mid 90's caprice (or maybe its an impala) that rolls around on 26 inch wheels in town. It looks like they actually had to lift it to use them. Its pretty bad when the wheels and tires cost more then the car did new

there is a REALLY nice 86-ish SS that i saw a couple weeks ago, in pristine condition, with some pretty big rims that were painted to match the car (either black with the red stripe, or plum, i couldn't tell). i saw it again today in my rearview mirror as i pulled onto a street near my house, and of course she pulled a u-turn and went the other way. i want to get a closer up look (and maybe a pic!) of it, it looks wicked sick!!

uuugggg, i HATE blingy- rims, lol. theres an early 80's caprece 2door that runs around town, the cars beutifully restored to factory specs, its even that factory brown. only thing i dont like is the blingy- rims.
i have to say though, i prefer the rims most of the time, caus they just BOLT ON, and can be removed to suit the currant owners taste. its not like the old pro-street fad of the 80's / 90's, where many cool cars like tri-5 chevies, chevelles, even some montes had the rear wheelwells " tubbed" to fit a set of slicks i could use as a desk in em, to reverse work like that it takes alot of time & metalworking skills, along with the proper tools.
