Think you could slip a 6th gen on a camaro chassis?

man my wife had a 00 ss white with 290000 on it. It was marked for death by saws all, but she got offered 4000 cash for it before i could say no she sold it. that sucked. I hate to say it but I want to sell this one and do a 00 2 door grand prix gt. I think the ground effects will look really cool. but love the monte for now...

Hmmm...looks like the 6th gen (2000 - 2007) Monte Carlo wheelbase (110.5 inches) is over 9 inches longer than the 4th gen (1993 - 2002) Camaro (101.1 inches). Would need to do some serious chopping there.

Which would be harder? Extending the chassis, or chopping the Monte's body?

Extend the frame rails. That's easier then chopping sheet metal down.

Use 9" from another frame of the smae make. Any salvage yard would be okay selling you just the 9" of frame rails from a donor.

I know if Chevy would still be making/selling the '95-99 Montes if they came RWD to begin with.

Making a drivetrane to work would be hard lol. Chevy only had the rwd vette after 02. Where can i find info on frame lengths?

It's really a shame you can't make a newer Vette chassis fit under a '00-07 Monte. Everything's there where it needs to be. Maybe not the wheelbase (Vette vs Monte) but you have the V8 in the correct position, the enclosed drive shaft, independent suspension, disk brakes atall 4 corners, and a few other goodies.
