you have to understand somethign about cars, if you can get a sucker to pay preimium then take it and run, but most of the tiem you dont get this you get cheap prices. but hey it is always worth a try to get top dollar.

Yes, other members on MCSS.com have noted their '81-'85 base MCs as LSs ... but, they are not.
As it is noted in what SR posted, the LS was a new model in 1986.
You might be thinking of the CL interior trim package, which was available on most 4th gen MCs. CL was NOT a model ... it was simply an interior trim package, including "pillowy seats" and different door panels. My '87 MC LS has the CL option; my '81 MC SC does not. The CL is confused asa model because Chevrolet stuck "CL" badges on MCs with the CL option.

And, btw, you can get the center caps for those honeycomb/checkerboard wheels still direct from GM, I believe!
