Default How much is your payments for an 06-07 Monte Carlo SS

Hey everybody. I'm new to this site. I wanted to ask everybody that has a 2006 or 2007 Monte Carlo SS (if you don't mind telling) how much are your monthly payments? I'm trying to either lease a 2007 or finance a 2006 Monte Carlo SS. It seems like the best "lease" payment I could get on an '07 was from Mark Chevrolet. $374.56 with $0 down for 36 months at 4% interest & 12,000 miles a year. That's with GMS pricing and $1,250 in rebates. MSRP is $29,555. Is anybody paying around $350.00 or less per month for theirs with $0 down, lease or finance? That's like my "desired amount". I'm waiting to see how much I could finance an '06 for since almost every Chevy dealer in Michigan still has a bunch of '06's still on their lots. So I'm thinking maybe I could get a better deal, but since financing is usually always more expensive I don't know. Let me know guys! I'm trying to get one like Monday or Tuesday next week.

You need to decide first whether you want to lease or finance. I used to sell cars and I can tell you that most leases are ripoffs. You need to pay special attention to the fine print.

You should be able to get a great deal on an '06 right now. If you only want to lease an '07, the 100K mile warranty will not come into play, so it doesn't matter. If you can get an '06 financed for around that amount, you should be good to go.

I financed around that same amount for my '05 LT because I had to roll over some debt left on my totaled Cavalier that I didn't have gap insurance on. So with $0 down, my payments are about $500.

NOTICE: "GAP INSURANCE" IS A GOOD THING!!!!!!!! Highly recommend it.

Well, it could really be either-or. I don't mind leasing, but I would rather finance it and keep it after it's paid off. Only thing is, I "know" that I cant afford to finance an '07. The 06' Montes that are still on the lots I know alot of dealerships are desperate to move them out, so I know sub-$25,000 out the door for an '06 SS wouldn't be out of the question here in MI right now. But I haven't worked any numbers on financing an '06 yet. Since GM won't let you lease current year models after August, I would have to finance anyway. If I leased an '07, I wouldn't really be concerned about the 100k warranty since I probably wouldn't go over my miles before the lease is up anyway and it would only be a 36k lease. I'm really looking for a dealership that wants to (1) give me some of their Red Tag (Factory to Dealer) money to lower the cost of the car on top of the Factory to Consumer rebates to try and get a sub-$350 payment, lease or finance. (2)artificially raise my residual value a little since I wouldn't buy the car off the lease anyway, or (3) hope that GM puts a 0% interest rate for qualified buyers progam on them later this month when the new incentives come out. I have a 762 credit score, so I know I would apply for 0% interest. Maybe even all 3

Have you driven it yet? If I were you, I would make the purchase. Once you get it, you won't want to give it back after 3 years. Trust me.

But, happy hunting and good luck with whatever route you choose to take.

I have a 762 credit score,
and you live in MI. Hi my name is Dan, I'm a Cancer, I like long walks on the beach.... LOL.

I really would avoid the lease option. It's way too easy to drive over 12,000 in a Monte I've put on over 20,000 on mine in my first year and I only live 6 miles from work. If you have a 2nd vehicle so you can park the Monte for awhile, then I would consider it.

I dont know where you guys are getting your pricing from, but a fully loaded 06 Monte Carlo up here in Canada is around $39,000!!!!!!!!!!!! (Of course I did not pay sticker price)
Lease that out over 4 years with nothing down and my payments are exactly $499 a month! I dont see HOW you can get a three year lease for $399 a month on a fully loaded 06 SS.

Is that in Canadian dollars? Because i just went and maxed out all the options on a 2007 SS on the chevrolet website and it still came in under $31K.
