Like my s/n suggests, this is my first Monte... and probably my last. I've got a love-hate relationship with this car. When everything is working fine, I think it's probably the best looking car I've owned so far, and it can be fun to drive. But when there's a problem with it... and there have been quite a few (as a look through my service receipts reminds me), I think to myself, what the hell made me choose this car?

My parents also had a 1976 Monte Carlo that I called "mine". That one started my love affair...and, when I was just 3 years old, I was pointing to other Monte Carlos and saying "arlo". lol

Also- 'Space- It's awesome that your first Monte looks almost exactly like my first Monte.
I don't have those wheels, the spoiler, and only have the 3.4, but it's still awesome!

The only two cars I have ever owned, fortunately both not lemons! I would keep buying them if GM brought these classic beauties back. Used '96 white Monte LS;
I do miss my old boy...
Sold to get my newer (used) 2005 black Monte LT - keeping this guy forever, hopefully.
Maybe one day I will get to own one from gen 1 or 2 and gen 3/4.
