Red 2001 LS 3.4 with most SS interior features (leather, onstar, casette and CD, etc)
35,000 miles on a 2001 (used to be my grandma's car)
Problems: Heater Core replaced, both front bearing assemblies replaced(driver side twice)
Intake gasket replaced
Driver headlight replaced (moisture inside)
I have not worked on it myself other than to polish it up. It's a beautiful car, but has been costly in preventative maintenance. Have spent $4,000 just to get it up to par. I love to drive it though, just wish I had a LITTLE more power.
This is my first post on here so I am going to search the hell out of it for ideas on upgrades. I want to put a nice exhaust system on it but have had little luck finding a decent one online. If anyone has suggestions for me, I am all ears!

My '03 SS L36 has about 122k at the moment. I bought it about a year and a half ago with just under 100k on it. Since then, I have had really minimal problems... replaces the rotors and pads, new tires, normal stuff. Its certainly in the shop a lot less than my intrepid was.

I had one potentially big problem with it. When I turned the car on I got all kinds of traction system lights. I took it to the shop, and he said he was pulling codes for the trans, and it would need to be replaced/rebuild. I took it to another shop who said that he didn't know what it was, but it was not the trans. Took it to a GM level 2 tech who told me the grounds rusted off my computer! It was a lot cheaper than rebuilding the trans.

I also had to replace my cat when it collapsed. Apparently he mechanic had seen a number of these shortly before I brought mine in.

I would like to be able to do more of my own work, but I don't have the space, money, or time, so until I'm outta college I'll have to let someone else do my work.

2000 3.4 LS owned since 2000 bought it w 5000 miles on it. Now has 187,600 miles! Best maintenance free car I've owned! Car is leaking a little from the crank, rear defroster doesn't work, and my key is a little worn, but other than normal wear n tear its been a great car! I don't drive her all the time anymore as I have the GTO and the Eldorado! But I've owned the car 10 yrs and the OG owner and its the 1st car I bought fairly new, so she won't be going anywhere.
