Question How to have No exterior lights on

Posted this on the FB page yesterday, maybe someone here knows?

So tonight i needed to turn off my lights completly with the car running,,,, If i turn them off my auto lights are on so all exterior lights are on, just parking lights was ok but i wanted all exterior lights off,,,, am i missing something? i tried setting the parking brake too as that works in my g/f's truck but even that didnt work,,,,, so what gives?

On my 06 Monte I just turn the h/l **** to the left 1 click and it turns off the auto function/ daytime running lights. I can't recall if earlier models have that feature.

Do you have factory lights ? any modifications to the lights ?
Was your car running @ the time ? Key on of off ?

I have the switch in the above pic and actually I think the car was already running so the auto lights were already active and I cranked it to the left and the right, to the right just dims dash lights,,,, ill try again b4 I start the car maybe that'll do it.

In mine 03 I have noticed in daylight conditions the daytime running light turn of if the car is running in park long enough time as the lights turn off automatically after turn off the car at night.
Not sure if you are trying get them off in day or night time

On my 2005 Monte Carlo SS , If I put the parking brake on before I start it the lights stay off..

yup, just tried it and the parking brake override works

Ill try that on mine but that blows how do you drive down your girlfriends driveway at night with all your lights out? LOL Have to stop, shut it off apply the brake then start it back up!! Jeeze! Oh well so much for that idea!!

Pretty sure you can control all that via radio.
