And as far as complications go I would research if a 396 gives the same issues as installing a 454. I have read that you have to have a special set of headers to put a big block in a 4th gen Monte as well as possible removing or alteration of certain items on the fire wall top make clearance. Then making sure the stock rear end and trans will hold the torque will be your next issue.

The fender is the easiest piece to find. A aftermarket fender is relatively cheap. Or you can go to the junk yard and find one off of any standard 81-88 Monte Carlo. All are same except for the 86-88 LS model with euro headlamps.
Same for a lot of interior pieces. I've owned every year SS but an 83/84 and cant recall exactly the differences.
For the spoiler and lower nose skirt, prob keep an eye on eBay,Craigslist or classifieds here.
If you refer to just the piece that goes to the fender itself that is made on the section that goes around the fender side marker. It's a plastic/ rubber piece that attaches to the lower front fender.
I think it's called a fender extension.
Welcome to Mike's Montes! might have some of those parts. Or check with the boards at www.montecarloss.com they cater to the 83-88 SS specifically
