Yesterday I had noticed that my hood was a little lop-sided when its open. I found that my passenger support thing was missing! But I think I found the correct part.. Here is a picture of what I found.. is this the part I need b4 I buy it?

If you are talking about your 05, it didn't come with a passenger side hood strut. They stopped putting 2 in the 05. Even my Dad's 08 Buick Lucerne only has one hood strut.

I don't see a problem with putting one in. When my 05 got hit in a parking lot last Nov I had the hood replaced and I know it was a general hood that fits 2000-05 so I know it has the mounting holes.
