I guess I'm lucky too - 92,000 miles on my 05 and haven't had to replace the plugs or T-stat yet - I guess buying a car with 60k highway miles on it helped a lot!

Traded it in for this 06SS <- idea?

I hate to see that your list of cars to get instead are probably less reliable, or harder to fix than the Monte.

If you want anything Audi/VW keep away from that 1.8T motor. It's probably the worst engine ever created. In all seriousness.

I second that well to a point I'm not a fan at all of the front ends on the 06/07s the rest is ok not too crazy about the block letters that say MONTE CARLO they're pretty plain jane

I can't buy anything that says it's a Monte Carlo without a Knights Crest on it.

If you wan't something that will run good for a LONG time. BMW engines are notorious for being bulletproof. They will run forever. Just my opinion, oh and they get good mpg. The car will just make you smile too.

I know I've said it before, but if I ever get an '06/'07 I'll seriously consider swapping on the '00-'05 front end.

I hear you the front end looks to much like an Impala on 06/07..
