Am I a lead foot? Yes & No... I often take off moderately fast up to the speed limit then back off, and set the cruise control. This car is getting worst gas mileage than my Nova LT1 Highrise, 550 Holley Daul-feed... It is definitely worst than my 1500 Silverado while towing a 22' bassboat

The sticker for the SS is 18 city, 28 highway. I think a lot of it, at least for me, is a combination of kicking it in the a** to feel that wonderful V8 power and the sound of the mufflers. Even my wife is dusting people that aren't doing the speed limit on our backroads around here (we live in the country, pretty rural area). For the record,my 99 MC LS with a 3.1 gets an average of 26 mpg. And what's a few bucks for gas when you get to hear and feel that power all the time!!!!

I was getting 19-20 for the first few months i owned my monte but for the last month I've been getting 23-24. Im pretty sure it has to do with my ac. Its finally cool enough to drive with the windows down and no ac here in az
