Hey.. I'm getting 17MPG Now
My Odometer just turned 2,000 miles... and I looked at my MPG and the Avg says 17.0! I freakin estatic! I went from 15.2 to 15.6 to 17.0. The MPG must have something to do with the miles on the car, because I haven't change driving habits.

I just re-checked mine at the last fill-up. At 1000 miles and before any upgrades it was 17.5. Now, at 2200 miles and after upgrades I'm up to 18.8, with no change in driving habits. This is ACTUAL mpg the old fashioned way - dividing miles driven by gallons used, not trusting the electronics.

I wouldn't be too ecstatic about 17-18 MPG myself. My Blazer gets better gas mileage than that and it's an SUV.

Just curious ... those numbers, even the 17.0, seem rather low to me. My '87 MC LS has been upwards of 18mpg the last few weeks...and that one has the 305 V8.....

Am I a lead foot? Yes & No... I often take off moderately fast up to the speed limit then back off, and set the cruise control. This car is getting worst gas mileage than my Nova LT1 Highrise, 550 Holley Daul-feed... It is definitely worst than my 1500 Silverado while towing a 22' bassboat
