Hey!
New guy here. Just tonight I traded in my old 2000 Neon on a 2006 Monte Carlo LS. Only just got it home and I love it already. I have always liked the generation before this style and haven't really liked the current bodies but it's growing on me fast. The only thing I don't like about it is that it came with steel wheels/hubcaps. But once I get this monthly payment, I'm definitely going to pick up some wheels for it. It's a white one with 37k on it.
Would like to know if there are any certain problems I should maybe watch out for just to be safe although as good as this thing looks, can't imagine that list being very long.
It took the dealership about three hours to get us in and out (why does it always take sooooo long?!) and it is dark now but I'll be sure to post some pics up as soon as I take them!

welcom to the forum, sounds like a nice monte you just got! congrats. it took a long time at the dealership also when i bought mine. and yes it sucked because when i got home it was also dark!
Welcome! Look at Ebay and Craigslist, i'm sure you can find some nice OEM Monte Carlo/ Impala wheels for your Monte for fairly cheap.
My 06 LT with the 3500 V6 now has 92,300 mile on it, and it looks, and runs like a new car. Only problems i've had so far are a water pump and power steering pump. My water pump went at about 65K, and the power steering pump at around 72K. Otherwise flawless.
Take care of it! Make sure to change your oil regularly (I recommend synthetic, i've always used Mobil 1 in my Monte), Change your tranny fluid often (At least every 50K, use nothing but Dexron VI fluid), Change your coolant often too (at least every 50K).
As long as you keep up on the maintenance, you will have a long running car!
Congrats on your purchase!
