Came across this one on autotrader.
$5000.00 seems a bit too much for a wrecked Jr. edition ?
Opinions ?

There are machines and body jacks and the sorts that could straighten that frame. It looks to me as though somebody pulled out in front of this car and primarily hit on the right side, or the person didn't realize someone was stopped and hit them on the left side of their rear bumper. It didn't deploy the airbags or that much has already been fixed... but bending the frame, I'm surprised it didn't deploy. It would be a good project for Mike (03JGMonte) Sometimes, it just looks like it needs parts but ti turns out it needs something else. For instance, I think it may have jared the whole body of the car a little one of those doors not want to open and shut properly which may have to be fixed. Look at the picture of the drivers side, it looks to me like the left front fender is pushed in behind the drivers door. Sometimes people get there hands on these NASCAR edition Monte's and think they are something they are not. They're worth more to the right people, but still. I wouldn't give any more than about $3500 for it, even with that low mileage. It's going to need a 3/4 front end (hood, right front fender, bumper), and if you repaint the whole car, a new decal to run down the door and the sticker on the sail panel, which you will have to buy the entire decal set and GM won't just sell you part of it. Depending on how much the paint has faded (I'm guessing not much), you could probably just repaint the front end and then buff out the rest of it.

.....Yeah, it looks the driver may have actually rear ended someone else but whent
under the vehicle a bit. Maybe a Box Truck ? The front bumper is tore up but
not smashed directly in front. The driver may have cut their wheels to the left
very sharply to avoid hitting the other object. This happened to me when someone
ran a red light and I turned sharply to the left ( S10 ). The airbag didn't deploy
in that case either. The Driver side ? Looks like the driver got out of the car
to quickly and jammed the fender and door ? It will cost AT LEAST HALF of what
they are asking to repair that thing...

I suspect it will take about $5000 worth of repairs easy. Some of this depends on your geographic area. Repairing a car in LA will most certainly cost more than a rural area in Texas due to cost of living.

haha it cost the guy who rear ended me almost 4000 to replace my back bumper and realign the trunk lid....and my surfboard spoiler actually saved more damage to the car because the tail light didnt get smashed

and i forgot to mention that GM does not make the body parts the same way they used when the car was manufactured...the very bottom trim is "rough" not smooth like it was from factory. and its seems to me a cheaper made fender as well
