Was at a gas station and a guy comes up to me and says I have a great looking car.

Never had that happen to me in my monte, but numerous times in my trans am.

But then this guy asks me if its an impala or a monte..smh.

Lol nonetheless, it was a good feeling especially in that car

Anyone else with a 6th gen have people confuse them with impalas???

 

I've never known of anyone confusing a 6th Gen with an Impala. 7th Gen, yes, but only from the front.

I get compliments quite a bit on the 06 and the majority of those are at gas stations. I've also had people compliment it while stopped next to me at a light. It's nice to have that acknowledgement once and a while from people (outside of car shows or cruise-ins) during normal, everyday activity/driving. Also got compliments on my 03 Monte when I had that car.

 

Nvr called an Impala but i did have a guy try to buy my car in walmart parking lot

 

yea my 06 has gotten a few compliments already in the short time I have had it and one guy had it confused with an Impala SS. When I told him it was a Monte carlo SS he told me he had no idea they even made the Monte Carlo's in the SS model. That was a SMH moment. But yea it is an awesome feeling to have a car that looks good but isn't a really really common car like the new Camaro's and Mustangs or anything like that, that are all over the place. So when people see it, it generally turns heads.

 

Exactly how I feel. Mustangs and Camaros are around every corner. That's why I like the Monte Carlo, because not everyone and their mom has one and you don't see one every five seconds. Mine tends to stir up quite a bit of interested at car shows and cruise-ins.

I see Monte's, Mustangs, Camaros, rednecks, and semis all about the same

 

I have never had someone confuse my car with an impala but I always get compliments on my car

 

Once at a car show I heard some father tell his son my car was a Cobalt

 

That's one huge Cobalt lol.
