I don't know how much faster it will `be, but it sure looked good & I know that I couldn't afford to replace even one burned`out tire Thanks for posting & sharing

That is called a brake stand, not a burnout. It only works because the front brakes hold the car and the rear drum brakes don't work well. Plus there is little weight on the rear end. Anybody with a RWD with drums and about 120hp on tap car do that. I used to do them in my 2.8L '83 Firebird, and it was dog slow. My '92 Roadmaster was also great at it because it didn't have a posi rear end. It doesn't look like that MC did either. That Monte Carlo would be lucky to pull 20 secs in the quarter mile. Not that that is everything tho. But I'd put a 3400 MC with normal wheels against it any day of the week...

LOL `Brent, but will it have the sweet Powerful Sounds of a V8 ?
I personally never understood why anyone would want to do it just for show...., but 2 each their own & whatever makes them happy & that they can afford...

In drag racing I can understand burnout's to heat up the tires, but 2 purposely abuse a nice ride is beyond my comprehension..., but I `do have a difficult time try'in 2 comprehend so much in `life : )
Peace/Happy Out & Thanks 4 you input : )

He's going to have to go to Office Max to buy some new rubber bands.

No need for a trip to Office Max, he can just use the bands off his produce next time he goes to the grocery store.

I feel like you could just combine most of your threads into one thread called "Monte Carlos with Enormous Wheels". Then post links to your hearts desire.
