Ok So I have a buddy with a 98 Grand Prix GTP. Supercharged, 3.4 pulley, SLP headers and exhaust, No cat No ubend No Res, Cammed, spectre cai, N*TB, 160 tstat and a racing tranny?

My monte is also supercharged. 3.4 pulley, Speed daddy headers, no res no ubend no cat, 180 tstat, 10.5 zzp wires, k&n cai, N* TB and is NOT cammed. Obviously he's going to win but would like to know if it would be a good race? Really all he has over me is a cam. how much would I lose by in say a quarter?

Would also like to hear about whats best between GTP, SS and regal's GS...all supercharged. im suretthey're all pretty close in specs but just wanna hear ppls opinions

 

Well, does he weigh more than you?

Practically, they're so similar that most real differences would come through the aftermarket. If those are even the same, then it's anyone's guess. I would be interested to see the results.

 

A cam on a 3.4 pulley? It will be close but I think he'll win. Probably by 3/10ths of a second.

All the cars (GTP, SS, GS) are equal IMHO, other than the meager weight difference.

 

literally all those cars are the same. maybe a little different in weight but with those mods done it would be a close one.

 

which of these is heaviest which is lightest? me and my buddy have been arguing about this for weeks now lol but I woulda thought. that with his cam, he'd kill me! lol

 

Well if it took him a cam to run a 3.4 pulley he isn't gonna be much faster than you.

As far as weight goes, check Wikipedia. But they're all around 3600 pounds. (With you in it)

thank god Lola is only 3200 lbs im gonna say he wins he is prolly 100 lbs lighter so just saying see if you can find a reallly fat friend and have him be the camera man in the othercar

 

i only think the weight diff is because i believe the 98 gtp is on the 2.5 w body platform like a fifth gen where as you are a 3gen wbody

 

Idk but with the set up he has he said he's either mid to high 12s.
