Good things do come out of bad situations!
Hey everyone, so last week a guy ran into my passenger side between the door and fascia. Most of the impact was on my wheel and it bent my rack and pinion. The guys insurance is taking liability and is covering all damages. 2400 dollars in damage. So i went to check on the car and the guy at the shop is going to paint my whole car for me. So i am gonna put up the pics as soon as i get the car back. Here is some from the wreck.

$2400 sounds cheap. Mine was $1800 for a minor fender bender. Replace wheel, straighten RR quarter, replace rear bumper cover and RR tail light, and paint bumper and quarter.
When I bought my car wrecked, the body shop quoted over $4k just for paint, not body work. Luckily it's my dad's buddy and didn't charge that.

$2400 is what the adjuster quoted. I am paying the guy $250.00 on top of that to paint the whole car. So I figured it was a deal as long as he done it right. I have been checking on it often and from what i can tell he is doing pretty good. He is a friend of my family.

Theyre right. My father has owned his body shop for 30 years and that doesnt even cover the materials in paint. Plus why is he sanding the car with the headlights, tail lights, reverse lights, exc. still on??? The paint will not stick if theyre painting around it. itll just start pealing in a year right around those edges. Make sure the guy is doing it right cause it seems pretty sketchy to me if he is doing it for that cheap. especially since he has to fix the damage on top of that, the price should be much higher. PLEASE keep us posted and hope to God all goes well for you. Be sure to look into some of his work as well for his quality in painting! Best of Luck!!
