Has anyone ever seen a gold trimmed 95-99 Monte LS? All of the chrome trimming around it is gold, all of the "MONTE CARLO" letters are gold, as are all of the bow ties. I've only seen a few...what's the deal with them?

The only 5th gen Monte with any gold on it was one that I photoshopped. I would love to see pics of it too. I was thinking it could be aftermarket stuff available on the net. Or probably factory original pieces that someone has applied gold leaf to.

I've seen that done with game system consoles.

 

I think I've seen too many for gold to just be added on top of the chome. These cars are getting old...probably would have flaked off by now. I'm thinking it might have been a dealer thing. -shrug-
