Going crazy.
Well its been 2 weeks and 2 days with out my monte. Still in the shop and they can't figure out what is wrong with it. It first started off with the car not ketching first gear reving up real high then ketching first and making a large clunk sound. Then when i shifted into 2nd 3rd and 4th it would shake the whole car.
Took it into chevy and they found out it was some wiring problems and had to order some new wires. They call me back up and say they looked in my trans and found metal shavings. So they ordered new parts for it and took a week to get everything but the tourqe converter. Had to wait another week to get that and when everything is put back together it is having a hard time getting into first. So now they have to call corporate on monday to figure out what to do. They are stumped and i am bumbed.
Any one know of this problem with the 06 ss?

but have they rebuilt the tranny? or just replacing parts tha tmight be it?
if it was a rebuild they might have to figure out if it has shavings in the pump
or if the presure reg is set correctly

man, yer shop sucks, 2 weeks before calling TAC is rediculous... we had a truck a few years ago that just made a funny noise from the trans, called tac and they knew what was wrong with it as soon as symptons were described, they had some trans cases that werent made dead straight, but instead of swaping everything to the new case, gm just said it gets a new trans, im guessing because it'd be a more reliable fix with less down time.
its the whole reason ppl take cars to the dealership, diagnose and repair correctly asap, if they dont know whats goin on with it they should of called technical assistance on day one. but all is not competely lost, csi - customer satisfaction index(guessing theirs is already low)... i'm sure if gm sends u a servey u'll let em know how your your experience was. gm will lean on your dealer more and more the lower thier score is until they can get it up.

So i contacted the main G.M. over here it is cadalac of Europe. they called the dealer and the parts were found that after noon on the shelf. now i was told they were going to order htem again becuase they were on back order. that morning.
they had thier driver hand deliver them to me at my home in a hour after the phone call.
so i seen it on my dash for all of one day . then i ship the car. but at least i know it is complete for shipping .

Well i talked to chevy 2 mins ago and they said it is a valve spring. He said they cleaned it and it shifted fine today but went to go park it and it wouldn't shift again. So they ordered a new valve spring and it gets in tomorrow morning and will be done i hope. Crossing my fingers.

Cheap insurance that it wont come back for the same issues . Dont always work but we only had one or two come back to the shop for the same thing. one we found out he was netural droping it with aloaded trailer on it.
and the other was a issue he admited to . he was heavy in to 4x4's and would take it out to see how stuck he could get.

Well i didn't get my car today because my dealership sucks... they called me today and told me that it wasn't ready because they couldn't get to it. they had to do a suv first when it has been there 2 days lol. well i am never going there again.
