fuel pump and access hole

Hello, new to the forums here, I have a '95 Z34 monte with the 3.4 engine. I recently had the fuel pump go out, and the shop that did the diagnostic said it would be around 600.00 to replace it. So, I decided I'd like to try and do it myself. Can someone tell me if there is an access hole somewhere under the back seat or in the trunk area that I can use to get to the fuel pump? In addition I guess it would be good to find out for sure that the fuel pump is inside the tank. If someone could write back and let me know about this topic I would be grateful. Thanks in advance for your answers.

ive had the back of my car apart same everything as yours and unfortunatly unless your cars special you have to drop the tank to replace the pump , unless u cut your own access hole. and yes the pump is inside the tank

well you can cut your own access hole...lol jk jk
i think you have to drop the tank, but thats not hard, and the reason its so much money is maybe it needed a new sending unit too, or they were just going to replace that, on a car thats 13 years old it might need it, it probably will actually
